PIM Pharmaceuticals Guarantees All of its products are Halal

PIM Pharmaceuticals has the halal certificate for all of its tablet series products that are issued so that people feel safe to consume them.

JAKARTA – Pharmaceutical manufacturer, PIM Pharmaceuticals claims to have halal certification for all tablet series products issued. The company is also listed as one of four producers in Indonesia that has a halal certificate.

The company, which was founded in 1934, said it would keep being observant and responsive in presenting health products based on consumer needs.

Yunike Maris, as Marketing Manager of PIM Pharmaceuticals, said that one of the company’s focuses is to see the desires of consumers who currently need health products with quality assurance and one of them is certified.

According to her, PIM Pharmaceuticals has obtained halal certification since 2019 for their first product, which is cough medicine with a production capacity of 183 million bottles per year.

“At the beginning of 2018-2019 not many pharmaceutical manufacturers received halal certification, and less than 1% at that time. Meanwhile, in that year we realized the importance of providing certainty of the halal status of our products, so that consumers feel more comfortable when consuming them,” she said to Bisnis.com, Friday (25/6/2021).

Yunike said that based on the company’s internal survey, several regions in Indonesia prioritized halal attributes in deciding to buy medicine.

This is a benchmark to see the wants and needs of consumers as well as the company’s consumer response to the medicinal products produced, so that since 2019 the company has sought halal certification.

The PIM-TRA-KOL series, which have been produced since 1980 and certified halal, currently one of the company’s superior products.

The PIM-TRA-KOL series, besides being produced for adults has also recently released a series for children, namely PIM-TRA-KOL Syrup Kids. PIM-TRA-KOL Syrup Kids is proven to be safe and effective for relieving coughs, namely relieving throat and fever.

The production process of PIM-TRA-KOL is also based on cGMP (CPOB), ISO 900, and Halal standards, so that product standards can be fulfilled and also produce hygienic and reliable products.

“Consumers who have been educated with halal products tend to be more trusting and feel more secure when consuming it, so this is also affecting on brand trustworthiness,” said Yunike.
